Do Dham Yatra to Gangotri and Yamunotri holds great cultural and religious significance for most Hindus. The helicopter tour starts from Dehradun and covers both Gangotri and Yamunotri within a single day or one destination at a time, per your package preference. In the Gangotri and Yamunotri yatra by helicopter, the flight takes off from Dehradun and flies over the scenic view of the Himalayan ranges.
Yamunotri is located in the western part of Uttarakhand, while Gangotri is situated in the eastern part of the state. Whether it’s your Do Dham Yatra or a part of your Chardham Yatra, completing the journey by helicopter can be a hassle-free way to reach these remote locations as the shrines are located at high altitudes.
The helicopter tour may take approximately 6 to 7 hours for Do Dham Yatra when the weather and conditions are good, which includes spending time at both the shrines and not just the journey. If you are planning to save more by booking a full-day tour package, starting the journey early in the morning is wise to make the best of your time.
The tour cost may vary depending on the type of helicopter, the number of passengers and the operators; since the weather in Uttarakhand is unpredictable, the helicopter service may need more time to cover the destinations, which can influence the costs.
